Todays real wedding in Sermoneta, Southern Italy is another one of those beauties where you kind of can’t believe it’s not a styled shoot as both the details and the portraits have been captured so so beautifully. But a real wedding it is, in one of Italy’s most stunning locations. Evgeniia and Vsevolod chose Sermoneta, a walled village high up in the Lazio hills with ancient buildings and cobbled streets a plenty as the perfect backdrop for their wedding day and with Fiore d’Amore planning out each detail and Brukhanova Anastasia on hand to capture every moment, it was never going to be anything less than spectacular.

From Fiore d’Amore

“Eugene and Vsevolod chose to get married in the ancient Loggia of Sermoneta, which is called a small jewel of medieval architecture near Rome. The city, founded in 29 BC, has retained all of it’s charm and character and it seems as though nothing has changed since then it was built.

The wedding reception took place on the grounds of the villa and beautiful flower arrangements made up of lots of greenery along with candles created an intimate, cozy atmosphere at this country house that already exudes warmth.

Soft flowing Italian melodies filled the air and the mood and atmosphere was very relaxed. It was a wonderful wedding to be part of.”

From the Bride

“Vsevolod and I met at university and became friends. We prepared for our exams together, walked together to class and watched Disney’s “Winnie and Pooh” to pass by our evenings. Walking in the rain and always looking for each other for company and chats, our friendship soon became something more and we started dating.

We got engaged at one of our favourite restaurants in Rome and started planning our wedding soon after.

Italy has become our second home and so there was no question over where we would host our wedding. We worked with an amazing wedding planner, Fiore d’Amore and they really help us to organise the wedding of our dreams and it was so helpful to have someone coordinate events on the day itself.

I had a clear idea of what our wedding would be like. I wanted it to be elegant but not overloaded with decorations and details. I wanted it to be in a naturally beautiful location. We chose a clean colour palette that would compliment the colouring already present in the village… olive, beige, gold, and grey tones. For the ceremony, we chose to get married in the medieval gallery, Loggia dei Mercanti which was built in 1446 as a place for town meetings. This village has a rich history and Caetani Castle is where the famous Lucrezia Borgia lived. The wedding reception was held in the open air and aperitifs were served near the pool. Our dinner reception was held under the trees in the garden and decorated with flowers and candles and of course, the best in Italian cuisine! The wedding day was perfect: we would not have changed a thing!”
