Good morning, hope you had a good weekend! We have been busy taking a look at what is trending for wedding dresses in 2013 and have made a list of five features that you’re likely to see next year.
✈ Colour
Looks like we’ll be seeing splashes of colour in bridal collections next year- mostly blush pinks and blue, with the odd scarlet creation.
✈ Peplums
On a dress, a peplum is a type of overskirt which extends from and defines the waist. They bring a bit of runway fashion to a wedding dress with structured layering and draping.

✈ Convertible
A dress that you can adapt for party-wear after the ceremony. These are handy especially for those who want a larger, heavy wedding dress. They generally have layers that you can take off to make the dress lighter and freer to move around in.

✈ Lace
Lace is pretty much a constant in the world of wedding fashion but there has been a big increase in use since we saw Kate Middleton’s dress last year. This is set to keep going for 2013… Keep going forever we say as we love lace here at FAB!

✈ Portrait Backs
With intricate detail over a sheer panel back, these dresses look great in photos. They are modest and very feminine, but a little risqué too!

Do you have thoughts on what might be trending next year? We’d love to hear any!

Love all these styles! I think the convertible look would be perfect for many of our Hawaii brides! It’s beautiful and functional!
