Morning everyone, hope you all had a lovely few days off. This weekend I was busy trying to relax a little bit. The past few months have been particularly busy – something I’m usually quite happy about but I must admit, I’ve been feeling little bit overwhelmed of late and knew I needed to get my head out of the laptop. So on Saturday, I turned to one of the only things I knew would make my mind stop thinking, my box of charcoal pencils! Art was one of my favourite subjects in school and I used to spend hours sketching but as soon as I left for college, it wasn’t something I ever had the time to do. It’s been on my mind for a while to pick it back up but after leaving it so long, it was hard to know where to start. Our beloved family dog Molly was my patient subject and I must say, it really did the trick. For 3 hours I thought about absolutely nothing and it was completely refreshing! When I was putting my pencils away I came across and old box of watercolours that belong to my mother and feeling a little too confident, I had a go. It wasn’t a success but I really enjoyed experimenting. I loved the way of the colours and how they dried on the paper and feeling inspired, I put the watercolours down and picked up my laptop. Instead of a painting, I got today’s inspiration board, watercolour wedding inspiration.
