Monday again and I am definitely thinking about tea this morning… and tea-length wedding dresses! Part of the fun of having a destination wedding is that it gives you free rein to do things a little bit different if you want. I love tea length dresses, there is something just so pretty and dainty about them- so feminine! They also let others see your lovely shoes as well so everybody wins.

Tea Length Wedding Dresses
Nowadays ‘tea-length’ means a dress with the hem anywhere from below the knee to the start of the ankle. In the 19th century when women began wearing this type of dress, the ‘tea gown’ was a semi-formal dress that didn’t quite reach the floor and was worn to dinner in the home, but not outside the home. Well of course eventually the dresses got shorter and even left the house! Would you consider going tea-length for your wedding dress?

I HIGHLY recommend getting a tea-length wedding dress if you have even the smallest inkling that you might want one… they’re not for everyone, but I LOVED mine. You neglected to list one of the very best places for great vintage-style tea-length dresses… Dolly Couture! Very, very inexpensive especially compared to everything else out there and they will work with you to create the exact dress you want. I still get compliments from our guests about my dress… I had so much fun in my dress :):):) If you click the link to my website, it’ll take you to some pics from my wedding day to see my Dolly Couture in action. :)
