I’m very excited to bring you Erica and Gathan’s airfield engagement shoot today, with thanks to Michelle Castle Photography, it’s all sorts of FAB!
Erin and Gathan are an adventurous couple that LOVE flying! They own their own vintage aircraft and routinely travel. For their engagement session we headed to a local airport to capture their love and excitement as they plan their biggest adventure yet: their May 6th 2012 wedding!

Some sunshine to brighten up your day… I’m thrilled to be bring you Helen & Ruben’s white Ibiza beach wedding. Helen and Ruben met through friends, Chris Bovill and John Allison. We probably knew that we were destined to be together on our first date when we gatecrashed a party in Soho Square by climbing over the wrought iron fence. It was a good party and definitely worth the ladder in my tights.
They were married in a beautifully relaxed waterside ceremony at Cap de Falco, Ibiza in June, 2011. Helen wore this stunning Jenny Packham gown..

and her wonderfully elegant shoes are from Emmy…

Hey there! Hope we are all having a productive Monday so far?! So, today’s post was inspired by some good oul rose-tinted nostalgia! You see, I’m one of six kids so destination vacations weren’t the way we rocked in our house as children. No, our summer holidays consisted of piling into our car to head to the rental yard near Pucks Castle in Dublin where together, we would pick out / fight over what caravan we were going to rent and subsequently travel around Ireland in for two weeks that summer. One camper that sadly never made a family holiday was the ever trendy VW Camper / Kombi and now as an adult, I’m more obsessed with it than I ever was as a child. So to say that I’m pleased to see that they are fast becoming a must have for that vintage inspired wedding, would be a serious understatement and given that the 60s are to heavily influence you brides-to-be this year, we thought it would be only fitting to show you how this deadly little sixties mobile could quickly become the 3rd (and fourth wheel) to your destination wedding. In case you need another reason to include the VW Camper (other than being “totally far – out” of course ), here are 5!

1) Stuff the Baggage Allowance….
This won’t particularly work of course if you are travelling from the States / Canada / Australia to lets say Europe but if you are marrying in the same country or can travel across the continent via Eurostar, Ferry, Road etc, then this is a great way to beat the bag allowance charges. No need to worry about how you are going to pack the dress, carry all DIY decorations and get them from the airport to the venue. Just camper van it to your destination. Leave a few days earlier and enjoy the trip, stay over in the lovely little towns along the way and soak up the beauty and culture of the country you loved so much, you decided to get married there! Think of the excitement as you set off on your adventure, maybe just the two of you, maybe with close family and friends. If “roughing” it is not your idea of fun, then bring the camper and stay in hotels on the way. Or, if you trust your mans groomsmen not to lead him astray, suggest one last road trip for the boys. They can still bring all the wedding essentials and you can travel light. We don’t want any of “The Hangover” scenarios so think this one through before suggesting it ladies! I know that this is something my own father and mother would actually just LOVE to do and I think I’d love to do it with them too.

I am in love with travel theme engagement sessions and when I saw this dreamy sailboat engagement shoot I couldn’t help but smile…

Frank proposed to Cinthia on the beach, her ring awaiting inside a conch shell. It was laying on the beach for her to pick and discover the treasure inside. For their engagement shoot they returned to the sea but this time on a beautiful sailboat and brought that very special shell with them.

We’ve another amazing “travel” themed shoot for you today and I must admit, this one has been sitting in my inbox for FAR too long. I’ve been dying to show you. All the way from Atlanta in GA, Ashley and Jon from Fixed Focal captured these uber-cool engagement pics for Lauren and Bryan. Lauren and Bryan have been together for 7 years and thanks to Byrans job in the music industry, they’ve been lucky enough to travel the world together, on more than one occasion (not jealous at all). For them, it was really important to incorporate a travel element into their engagement shoot which is why they headed down to McCollum Airport for the day. There were just too many pics to cram into one post, so guess what.. you get two. So sit back, relax and enjoy this flight.

Finally I have to share, today, well today I am very very excited, our wedding is exactly three months from now! Happy excited butterflies!
Have a lovely weekend! I hope the sun is shining wherever you are.
While doing some blog surfing last week I came across Huda and Valerio’s Marrakech Palace Hotel Wedding on OMG I’m Getting Married and my jaw nearly hit the floor! Their reception is so so stunning, the flowers amazing and the venue just beautiful, luxury at it’s finest!
When I saw that Boutique Souk had planned Huda and Valerio’s wedding I immediately jumped onto their website where I spent quite some time swooning over the beautiful wedding images. Intrigued about their service and the exotic weddings they have planned I contact Rosena, who also happens to be Irish, and asked if she could tell me more about Boutique Souk and what is involved in planning a wedding in Morocco…
Can you tell us about Boutique Souk and what you offer?
We are a bespoke wedding planner, creating special events here in Marrakech and also at the coast and Atlas mountains of Morocco. We have an international team, headed by Irish woman Rosena McKeown.

Where are you based and what cities/countries are you available to plan weddings in?
We are based in Marrakech providing a hands-on service for planning and also during the wedding event. We also plan in other popular Moroccan destinations such as Essaouira (the coast) and the Atlas Mountains.
Can you tell us a bit about Marrakech and why it is such a beautiful destination choice for weddings?
Marrakech is an exotic choice for a destination wedding, it has become increasingly hip due to the all year sunshine, stunning venues and locations – palaces, Riads, spectacular gardens filled with Roses, Palm and Olive Trees and of course low cost travel making it accessible for guests
