Good morning, and a happy Memorial Day to our US readers! A long weekend is no harm at all- in fact they’re a necessity every so often. We have some beautiful venues to showcase this morning in the fabulous city of Venice. The pink facades, green window shades and light-effused water turn photos of this city into paintings and I could spend hours browsing images of Venice. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world and, of course, simply a perfect wedding spot- so today we take a look at three unique wedding venues in Venice.
The Hotel Cipriani can host seated weddings of up to 220 guests, with a private landing dock to the front of its Fondamenta Terrace with views of San Marco Square. Several spaces are available to choose from for both ceremonies and receptions, including the beautiful Antique Garden and the brick-walled Sala Tiziano. The hotel can be hired exclusively, pending availability of the 80 guest rooms. Details including menu examples and prices can be found in their wedding brochure.
Said to be the city’s oldest hotel, this venue is centrally situated close to San Marco Square. It has several wedding reception space options, including the Marco Polo lounge with Murano glass chandeliers, and a private marble rooftop terrace with gorgeous views of the city. The hotel offers “wedding gondolas” to transport the couple to and from ceremonies. Love it.
With its pink facade facing out over the Grand Canal, Ca’Sagredo is a fifteenth century palace that has been restored almost impeccably to its former glory, set with marble halls, sculptures, beautiful frescos and baroque furniture and decor. The hotel has 42 rooms all with marble bathrooms and modern conveniences. For a look at what your wedding could be like here, check out this wedding at Ca’Sagredo.
