Our real wedding today is set in the most romantic city, filled with fun details and a couple who are seriously in love, with some mouthwatering sweet stuff at the end.. so basically, it pretty much has it all? Audrey and Julien traveled to the city of love for their wedding with friends and family. They decided to have their first look on the Ponts des Arts bridge (the one with all the little padlocks) before their ceremony, and Annie from MADfotos was there to capture the moments:

Cloistered Ceremony ✈ Spanish Destination Wedding
Our real wedding today comes from the beautiful region of Lupiana in Spain, about an hour north east of Madrid. Silvia and Brett chose this gorgeous cloistered monastery there for their Spanish destination wedding as they fell in love with its unique and secluded antique feel. Originally from Spain and Australia, the couple planned the wedding from their home in England and knew when they found the monastery that it was exactly what they had in mind. The venue was able to accommodate both the ceremony and reception, and even adjusted to a change in plans when the scheduled outdoor ceremony had to be moved to the cloisters due to rain. AiS Fotografos was on hand to capture these beautifully atmospheric and touching portraits.
Amalfi Coast, Italy ✈ Destination Wedding Guide
If you have ever come across the Amalfi Coast of Italy before, you will know what a treat we have in store for you today. This must be one of the most beautiful places in the world and for those of you considering a destination wedding in Amalfi, it won’t be hard to find the perfect place. A little south of Naples and the famous Mt. Vesuvius, the Sorrento Peninsula juts out forming the bottom of the Gulf of Naples and the top of the Gulf of Salerno. The lovely island of Capri sits at the western end of the peninsula looking back at the mainland. As well as Capri, we’ll be talking about the beautiful cities of Ravello, Positano, Amalfi and Sorrento which are all in this area.
Part of what makes this area so beautiful, the steep mountain sides descending down into the sea, also makes the area unsuitable for agriculture and tourism is therefore a very important part of the economy here. Which basically means that a lot of time and effort has gone into making the area a fantastic place for visitors.

Italian Country Style ✈ Destination Wedding in Tuscany
Kate and Jason’s dream of a small intimate destination wedding in Tuscany came true one sunny and warm day in September, after a year of planning all the way from Australia. Kate was very clear about the idea she had of the perfect wedding- olive trees, vineyards, a view of rolling hills, good and genuine local food, excellent wine, and a relaxed atmosphere. Everything went pretty much to plan on the day, as you’ll see from the photos. As their excellent photographer Lelia Scarfiotti says, “A bride getting ready in the turret of an ancient stone farmhouse, a touching and intimate celebration in a little country church, a long table decorated with wildflowers and surrounded by love and smiles, a few romantic decorative details, the terrific light of a breathtaking Tuscan sunset, and finally a wonderful party under the light of the full moon- purely Tuscany. Simply perfect.”
Winter Wonderland ✈ Destination Wedding in Austria
Our couple today hail from Ireland, and their decision to have a destination wedding in Austria was bound up with love for their favourite skiing town, Zell am See. Add fab wedding photographer Claire Morgan to the mix, throw in lots of snow and a touch of fog, and voilà: recipe for one perfect destination wedding! The gorgeous venue of Schloss Prielau was an obvious choice once the destination was set, and just wait till you catch a glimpse of the work that went into beautiful bride’s outfit and accessories..
An Elegant Elopement ✈ Destination Wedding in Rome
Weddings are never easy decisions. Well, deciding to marry the one you love usually isn’t a difficult decision, but exactly how to do it is a different story. Our gorgeous couple today, Kate and Brian, started planning a traditional wedding in Texas before changing their plans completely and eloping to Rome. We are thankful- if only for the completely selfish reason that we get to feature their beautiful elopement photos! I have to say, if this was my wedding I would have every single photo framed on the wall. More of the couple’s story and their decision to go for a destination wedding in Rome below.

Pretty Details in Provence ✈ Destination Wedding in France
We have an East meets West story for you today, and this destination wedding in France has a beautiful Provence setting. Wing-kee and Frank were married during the summer with two ceremonies- for the first Wing-kee wore a red satin oriental dress. Their photographer Daniele tells us that the scent of lavender hung in the warm afternoon air as the couple celebrated their second, western-style ceremony outdoors, and Wing-kee emerged in her second outfit of the day- an ivory lace gown. I love the details in this wedding, from the classic French countryside setting to the candle-lit love signs, torches and sparklers at the end!
Elegant and Romantic ✈ Destination Wedding in Greece
How about getting married on a Greek Island? I wouldn’t say no.. Anthea and Marty travelled half way across the globe, from Seattle in the very northwest US, to do just this. Their beautiful destination wedding in Greece was described by their photographer Anna Roussos as “elegant and romantic”. We love Anthea’s long veil and the soft, delicate pink used in her shoes, the roses and the bridesmaid dresses. More from the bride below on making the decision to have a destination wedding on Spetses island and details of the day.
