brodie&james_color_SMALL-207

I have a real treat for you today, courtesy of Ana Lui Photography, with this effortlessly stylish Ibiza wedding. The relaxed style, the stunning coastal location and the natural soft colours make for dream like perfection.

“James and Brodie first met in Perth through friends in 2002. After only being together for 6 months Brodie got a job offer in Sydney, and James said he wanted to move in with her. After spending 5 years in Sydney they both decided to move to London. Travelling has always been a big part of their relationship, they love exploring new places together. Brodie and James visited Spain for a short holiday and fell in love with Ibiza.”

“They visited Ibiza again the following year when James decided to propose on the first day of their holiday while swimming and sunbathing on one of their favorite beaches. James dropped down on one knee right there in the baby blue Ibiza sea he asked Brodie to marry him. On the same day they went out for dinner to Sa Punta Restaurant. They loved it so much they decided to hold their wedding ceremony and dinner there! “

Myself and Alan travelled around Italy some years ago and really fell head over heels for the beautiful and romantic Eternal City, so when we got engaged it was the perfect destination choice for us to plan our wedding.

We were over in Rome on a wedding planning trip in September and thought what better place to have our engagement shoot!

Aislinn Events FAB Sponsor Spotlight

6a00d83517bae953ef013487c03082970c - Copy

I’m delighted to welcome Aislinn Events as a sponsor of Fly Away Bride. Aislinn Events run by Annie Byrne specialise in planning destination weddings in Ireland. Annie was kind enough to answer some questions to help you find the lay of land when it comes to weddings in Eire…

Can you tell us a little about Aislinn Events and what you offer?

We specialize in Ireland as a destination for weddings, so we basically help couples living abroad to get married in Ireland easily and without stress so they can actually enjoy their time in Ireland with their closest family and friends and not running around with their ‘to do’ list!
Brides can choose from Full Wedding Planning, Month of and Day of Coordination or we will create a package just for them often including travel itineraries and day trips for their guests. Most couples at the beginning aren’t even sure what they need help with so something bespoke gives them as much or as little help as they need without losing sight of their vision.

Why do you think couples should choose Ireland for their destination wedding?

Ireland has something for everyone and everything for weddings. Stunning scenery, beautiful locations, history, culture, romance, fun and a lively atmosphere- if that is what they want!

Where are you based and what cities/counties are you available to for work in?

I’m based in Dingle Co Kerry which is a beautiful small fishing town on the southwest Atlantic coast in Ireland but will help couples get married anywhere in the country at a location that is best for them.

Brosnan Photographic FAB Sponsor Spotlight

Brosnan_011

I am very excited today to introduce to you one of our very talented sponsors, Brosnan Photoraphic. Broanan photographic is run by the lovely Christina, the woman behind the lens. Christina is originally from the US and she is causing quite a buzz in the Irish wedding market with her beautiful and fresh approach to wedding photography.

Can you tell us a little about Brosnan Photographic and what you offer?

Yes, the name is very vague, but Brosnan Photographic is basically just Christina Brosnan. I’m a photographer who’s focus is weddings. I love Love and capturing that on camera.

What is your approach to photographing weddings and what is your preferred style?

My style is natural, elegant, bespoke and a little eclectic. I like to be very discreet during weddings and let the day just happen, though I wouldn’t classify myself as photojournalistic. I think a photojournalistic style is much more edgy than mine. I like working with natural light and rarely use flash. My favourite part of the day is the time I get with the couple. My approach to working with a couple is suggestive and interactive. I feel that even if a couple is very uncomfortable in front of the camera if I keep them interacting with each other they will come across more relaxed and natural in the photos. I’m not a fan of standing still and cheesy smiles. My other favourite part of the day is the details! Details play wonders in telling the full wedding story.

Where are you based and what cities/countries are you available to for work in?

I travel worldwide! Nowhere is too far! I currently live in Kildare but meet all my clients at The Bridal Lounge in Dublin.

Anri & Anthony’s French Inspired South African Wedding

a+a_wedding_02

I can’t express how excited I am to launch Fly Away Bride with this stunning intimate, French inspired, South African wedding. Anri and Anthony met and live in London, and were married in South Africa on 10.10.10! Although Anri “was born in South Africa and this was naturally going to be the destination’” for their wedding they were inspired by their passion for everything French to add a certainje ne sais quoi’ to their wedding day and very fittingly chose the beautiful Le Chatelat as their venue.

What can I say, the stunning images taken by Annemari Ruthven Photography speak for themselves. I think Anri has to be one of the most beautiful brides I have ever seen…
