Good morning! Hope you all survived the first weekend of December organising the decorations and Christmas lists!! I’m so pleased that today we can bring you Part 2 of the amazing shoot Pamela and I had the pleasure of organising in Dublin. We were so lucky to work with some of the finest suppliers this great little country of ours has to offer. The second installment, captured by Brosnan Photographic and Aga from White Tea second shooting, is full of gorgeous details so get your life-jacket and lets set sail.

Pamela from Farrell and Chase (and Fly Away Bride of course) provided the charming stationary and signage. She felt that her suite “Love Letters” lent itself perfectly to the overall theme. Instead of a guest book, messages in bottles for the Bride and Groom were used, complete with vintage ink well and feather. Romantic? Yes, very.

The Cill Airne was the perfect location for our 1930s winter travel themed shoot. The boat is full of character and there were so many lovely spaces, we were spoiled for choice. Below is another stunning brooch bouquet from another great Irish supplier. If you missed Thursdays post you will also have missed a charming hand crafted brooch bouquet complete with pocket watch hand made by the very talented Carrie of Best of Buds. Carrie gave us a choice of two but they wer just so pretty, we had to use both. An incredible piece of art, the brooch bouquet is so destination friendly.. no wilted flowers and the perfect keepsake.

On this the eve of St Patrick’s day I have been channeling my Irishness by putting together a little Irish inspiration, it had to be green…

The bridemaids dress and shoes are both from BHLDN. The Mastersons kindly supplied the beautiful image of the Irish Bride and Groom and far away fields. The delicious Martini cocktail image was sourced from stylemepretty.com. Christina from Brosnan Photographic kindly supplied the cute lamb and beautiful bouquet images. The Mastersons again supplied the window image, Crom Castle, Co. Fermanagh. The leafy green hair accessory and glasses of Guinness images were sourced from stylemepretty.com.
Slán go fóill – Bye for now!
I am thrilled to be sharing this traditional Thai engagement and wedding ceremony with you courtesy of award winning photographer Christina Brosnan of Brosnan Photographic.
“Kanya and Stephen met in Oxford. Kanya is from Bangkok and Stephen is from Meath. They had a long distance relationship for a couple years while she lived in Washington DC and he was in Puerto Rico. They decided to marry in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Spa in Bangkok.”

I am very excited today to introduce to you one of our very talented sponsors, Brosnan Photoraphic. Broanan photographic is run by the lovely Christina, the woman behind the lens. Christina is originally from the US and she is causing quite a buzz in the Irish wedding market with her beautiful and fresh approach to wedding photography.

Can you tell us a little about Brosnan Photographic and what you offer?
Yes, the name is very vague, but Brosnan Photographic is basically just Christina Brosnan. I’m a photographer who’s focus is weddings. I love Love and capturing that on camera.
What is your approach to photographing weddings and what is your preferred style?
My style is natural, elegant, bespoke and a little eclectic. I like to be very discreet during weddings and let the day just happen, though I wouldn’t classify myself as photojournalistic. I think a photojournalistic style is much more edgy than mine. I like working with natural light and rarely use flash. My favourite part of the day is the time I get with the couple. My approach to working with a couple is suggestive and interactive. I feel that even if a couple is very uncomfortable in front of the camera if I keep them interacting with each other they will come across more relaxed and natural in the photos. I’m not a fan of standing still and cheesy smiles. My other favourite part of the day is the details! Details play wonders in telling the full wedding story.

Where are you based and what cities/countries are you available to for work in?
I travel worldwide! Nowhere is too far! I currently live in Kildare but meet all my clients at The Bridal Lounge in Dublin.
