Many Churches and religious sights do not allow you to enter with bare knees or shoulders (no shorts, miniskirts or vests) so make sure to have something to cover yourself up when sightseeing or attending a wedding, a pashmina or a cardigan.

Many of Rome’s streets are cobbled and uneven, not stiletto friendly! Make sure to bring comfortable footwear for walking.

Is a short notice wedding possible? if all paperwork in order Irish side? both catholic documentation and freedom to marry cert

    • Amy

Hi Sinead, a short notice wedding should be possible since there are no previous residency requirements with a wedding in Italy. Have a look at our legalities of a wedding in Italy for the Italian paperwork you’ll need:
You may have to make two appointments to visit the Town Hall so might want to be there a number of days beforehand!
