We have Italy fever after such an amazing trip to Rome, Orvieto and Monte San Savino last week and can’t stop day dreaming of our big adventure. Thankfully, we have this stunning Pride and Prejudice inspired styled shoot from the Marche region of Italy to see us through to the end of this week. If you are a fan of photography and styling, well then prepare to be blown away because some of the details and ideas from Paola Orazi are just so beautiful and captured to perfection by a fab fave, Cinzia Bruschini. I’m a huge fan of black and whites, especially on film but we don’t generally feature them because readers tend to prefer colour. Today, however, we could not resist. Is it a little strange to like a picture of a perfect stranger so much that you want to print it so it can hang beautifully on your wall? Well… wait until you see the picture…

From Ara Marvin:

“Cinzia Bruschini is the amazing photographer who captured this shoot in Palazzo Romani Adami, an 18th century building in the historical centre of Fermo (Le Marche region, Italy).

As a team, we wanted to recreate the romantic but also fervent atmosphere of the novel, where female characters contend with men’s love and proudly struggled with it.

So the stationery is a mix of letters, postcards and old pictures on Amalfi paper, wrapped with silk ribbon.  The dress is American vintage from the 1960s. The bouquet is composed of buttercups, anemone, cool water roses and berries.

The book is an English 1950 edition of the novel Pride and Prejudice, with an original dedication from husband to wife for their 10th anniversary. We were so excited when we founded it!”

You’ve done Pride & Prejudice proud! The hairstyle and bridal accessories are so elegant. And I’m with everyone else – that bouquet is fantastic! I love how the delicate anemones and roses get such such substance from the addition of ivy and eucalyptus!
