Carmen and Phan, from Vancouver and Los Angeles, met in New York when they both moved from home to attend university there. They were classmates and friends for over a year before they started dating so knew each other quite well- both believing that the best relationships blossom from good friendships. Originally Carmen had doubts about moving all the way to New York- being so far from home, but thankfully she did- otherwise the pair would not have met. The couple decided that to capture their portraits in Paris before their wedding was a once in a lifetime opportunity- it would give them not only beautiful but iconic images to treasure forever. They were incredibly happy with the result, as photographed by Daria Lorman

From Daria Lorman: Carmen and Phan decided to have a pre-wedding photoshoot in Paris because of the truly romantic the atmosphere of Paris- the world-renowned city of love. We met early morning at Trocadero to admire the best Eiffel Tower view in the city. After that, future husband and wife celebrated their engagement with a Parisian breakfast at Carette Cafe, before walking the streets of Paris together, enjoying the first trees blooming to welcome spring. From Carmen: “The photoshoot was a bit challenging for us both as there were many tourists in the area and we were not very good at posing. However, Daria was great at directing us and skillful at avoiding people in our photos. We loved Paris and enjoyed every minute of our time there. We will for sure return to Paris in the near future!”
