Can you actually believe it’s December this morning? So much has happened this year, it feels like it went so fast. I’m hoping to slow down now over the next couple of weeks and really enjoy the run up to the holidays. It is my favourite time of year. Today though, we have another gorgeous editorial for you. Set in the Valensole region of Aix en Provence in the South of France, this charming lavender fields shoot is a beautiful mix of organic and bohemian vibes but I’ll let the amazing team tell you more about it.

“If you go to Aix en Provence in France, to the Valensole region in the South of France, you will findlavender fields for miles and miles, all buzzing with nature’s activity. All enticing you to walk through them, to feel the energy and take in the heavenly scent.

Aix en Provence is famous for these fields and they attract millions of visitors every year and so this was going be the perfect setting for our bohemian bridal inspiration shoot. We kept an element of the lavender colours within the colour scheme but teamed it with a deep hydrangea blue to create some visual symmetry and add freshness.

Our bride wore local bridal gowns by Qui Qui Lamothe. They had been designed with the local region in mind and with the romantic lace and ethereal silhouettes, they were perfect for our wild rustic bride.

Our stationary and decor was created by UK based artist Kate Nicole of Oysterbridge and Co. Not your typical wedding stationer, she is a true artisan and lovingly makes and paints all her products by hand. She is inspired by vintage French antiques, so her aesthetic was perfect for this shoot.

The lavender was of course the star of our shoot but we wanted to make sure that the florals offset it with a pop of pink hues, whites, natural greens and a contrasting blue hydrangea. Wildness was key and a sprawling fine art bouquet was the order of the day.

This shoot was put together with a modern day, headstrong bride in mind. She doesn’t wear shoes, she is more of a tomboy and is a strong and enchanting woman. She wants a small, intimate wedding and will break all the typical French wedding traditions and get married in the lavender fields where she grew up.”
