It’s a lovely thing to be able to showcase the work of talented vendors coming together to collaborate in beautiful countries and today, we are sharing some Nordic Bridal Inspiration from a workshop held by photographer Maria Hedengren in Finland. Not a country that you would often hear of couples eloping to, Finland has so much to offer in terms of beautiful locations and unique experiences. With really creative suppliers doing such an amazing job within the wedding industry here, it has so many perks that it is well worth looking into further. The focus today is very much on the details and they are just sublime. Delicate but lush florals, simple calligraphed stationery and food too pretty to eat, it’s fine art at it’s best.

 From Hey Look

“For our workshop inspiration session we wanted to create a classic, contemporary setting with nordic touches. In accordance with clean nordic styles and tastes, a slightly more minimalistic take on an elegant wedding in a traditional environment. Our aim was to design a wedding, that would fit the budget of couples in nordic countries – where flowers and decor can cost a small fortune, yet be a truly elegant and lush affair. At the same time, we wanted to focus on locally sourced ingredients and materials. Our floral designs were set on a bed of foraged greenery from local forrests. The catering, Aan Tafel, used wild herbs, moss, flowers and local ingredients for their delicious creations.

The couple, Sassi and Timo, are in fact a real couple as we wanted to capture real love and emotion between the models and teach the photographers how to better catch that emotion to photos.”
