We have some beautiful French indulgent inspiration for you today courtesy of The Amberlight Collective and three real brides who were willing to trash their dresses Marie Antoinette style!

These were 3 real bride’s who wanted a unique and fun way to trash their dresses. All of their beautiful dresses had a vintage feel to them, and so a vision was born, Marie Antoinette. And everyone’s favorite saying that day was, of course, “Let them eat cake”.

I think the whole trash the dress idea is so vulgar and disgusting. The idea that people spend thousands on a dress in the first place makes me queasy – but the idea of trashing that dress, just because you’ll never wear it again? Sick. Why not donate it to charity? I’m sure there are lots of people who can’t afford an expensive dress and would love the opportunity to buy one at a reduced cost, rather than see it destroyed by some spoiled woman who doesn’t have any respect for money or material things.

Rosemary, if there is such a demand for old wedding dresses, why do they sell for such cheap prices on Ebay? When I worked in a charity shop, wedding dresses used to be really hard to sell – except around Halloween!
