OK, I’ve got to be honest. At first, I was ever so slightly disappointed by the Marchesa SS 2014 Bridal Collection, but only because the aw 2013 was so incredibly beautiful and featured some of my favourite dresses of last year. After going back over them for a few days though, I came to terms with that lack of statement detailing, found a lot of love for the more modern, ruched skirts and gained an appreciation I never really had for peplum. For SS 2014, Marchesa is taking on lace in a big way and it features in the majority of the brands wedding gowns for early next year. The collection will appeal to many brides as it’s diverse in styles, particularly in the hemlines, yet quintessentially “bridal” but we are really keen to hear what you think. I’d still take AW 2013 over this season and will look forward to seeing what Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig reveal later in the year, but for now – I’m going to contemplate this one just a little bit longer.

So, are you overwhelmed, underwhelmed or feeling a little bit indifferent? I know I’m definitely not a fan of the last particular dress but think the one shouldered, knee length lace number is as sweet as they come and perfect for a city or hot summer destination wedding.
