Jennifer and Trey fell in love with a castle in Italy whilst on holiday in Florence- Castello di Montegufoni dates from the 12th century and sits perched high on a hill overlooking the Tuscan countryside. The couple knew as soon as they arrived that they would hold their dream wedding there, which is exactly what happened. David Bastianoni was there to capture their romantic and magical day.

After their first visit to Castello Montegufoni, Jennifer and Trey decided immediately that their wedding would be held in this magical place. The ceremony was held in the castle chapel with vaulted ceilings creating the perfect romantic setting. The celebration went so smoothly, despite rainy weather- from the aperitif to the reception to the panoramic views for those special photos, it all seemed as if the day was meant just for Jennifer and Trey’s special occasion. Welcome aperitifs were held in the Dukes courtyard with guests enjoying prosecco and fresh canapes. Afterwards guests joined the newlyweds for the reception dinner which was held in the Severini lounge. A gelato cart was placed in the main court for guests to enjoy throughout the reception, and the wedding banquet was culminated by the perfect ending- cups of tiramisù. The celebration continued in the Limoinaia with dancing throughout the evening. The courtyard and lounge spaces were lit with sparkling fairy lights and lanterns with candles to set the mood. The colour palette was chosen by the bride, who works in the Italian wine industry, to represent her passion for her profession; the many shades of wine.
