Jenny Packham is probably my favorite bridal designer. I wore one of her gowns for my own wedding so was really excited to see her 2015 bridal collection at New York Bridal Week. The collection was inspired by a series of portraits of society ladies by 1930s photographer Madame Yevonde, wherein the ladies wore costumes based on Greek goddesses. Neoclassical is the style with a timeless elegance and the glamour always found in this designer’s collections. The gowns came in a wide array of tones from pale ivory, to buttermilk and caramel tones with one rather dark rusty blush. Most gowns bore the label’s intricate and beautiful signature embellishment. Refreshingly, the catwalk show featured several plus sized models. I just love the blue sky backdrop, and I’m starting off with my favorite from this collection, an amazing champagne satin beauty.
