We recently began a new series of destination-inspired wedding palettes, and today we’re delighted to bring you another, with the help of wedding palette expert House of Hannah. A few weeks ago we began the series with a Montenegro inspired colour board, and today we set our sights on one of the most fabulous destinations for weddings in the world: Iceland. What impresses most about this palette is its cohesive use of colour, and sometimes a starting point for this can be a lack of certain elements: for example here there are no bright hues. Instead the board emphasises the beautiful greys, blues and pinks of the landscape. The ocean, ice, beach and rocks all contain their own gorgeous shades, so really there is no need to add any other colours. Rose gold works so well here, and bridesmaid gowns in various shades from your palette will bring a nice variety of colour. The most important thing here is to remember to keep within the palette and not include any overly bright hues. Lots of glass works well in this scheme, the simpler the better so try and stay away from cut crystal and anything too fussy. We particularly love the cake below, decorated with what could be an abstract painting of the Icelandic landscape. This palette is another perfect example of letting your setting play a starring role in your big day.
