This week we have mainly been eating Halloween treats and wrapping up warm. I have also been ecstatically happy and celebrating for my good friend Kate who got engaged last weekend. Her fiance surprised her with a fabulous ring that he had gotten made for her in Dubai. He proposed to her on St. Stephen’s Green in Dublin and had her family waiting for her with sparklers in the pub where they had their first date. The thoughts of her planning her wedding is getting me very excited and hopefully she can get loads of inspiration from us. Congratulations to Kate and Declan!

I for one cannot believe that it is November already, the year is flying by in a flash. Now that Halloween is finished Christmas talk will begin. Although, it is a bit too soon so I won’t start talking about it just yet! We take a look at some beautiful ideas for statement necklaces below which would be a gorgeous addition to any bridal outfit, but first here’s a quick look at what got us blogging in the past week. Saturday we had a very chilled out Saturday song called Lovers’ Waltz by A.A Bondy. Have a listen again here. We saw some amazing Halloween inspiration on Monday for the week that is in it. I adore the Ellie Saab dress that we included in the images below.

Halloween Wedding Inspiration

We saw a Paris elopement taken by photographer Juliane Berry. All of the images we featured are in black and white which I love. Some incredible shots of such a happy couple in the beautiful city of Paris. The Wednesday Wishlist showed lots of ideas and ways to incorporate books into your wedding, who knew you could do so many different things with book pages. Yesterday we saw an Italian engagement set in Tuscan woods taken by the wonderful photographer Cristiano Brizzi.

We also saw some amazing weddings this week. Here are our favourite FAB 5:

A perfect autumnal wedding

A DIY handcrafted wedding

Beautiful thoughtful decorations

A circus wedding

A wonderful winter wedding

Friday Fashion ✈ Statement Necklaces

If you asked anyone who knows me what my obsessions are they will tell you it’s fashion and sparkly things (among other things of course!). I am like a magpie, and my room is overrun with jewelry boxes filled with bits and bobs, Notice boards, paintings and hangers with necklaces hanging off them. My jewelry is a mixture of amazing gifts from different people, lots and lots of costume jewelry, and some vintage finds. I find there are some amazing high street shops that do great statement necklaces. Zara have an array of amazing pieces that you could use to brighten up your wedding dress or bridesmaids dresses or if you’re not getting married, just to treat yourself! I love the images I found below of statement necklaces.

If you wanted to get something special you could go to one of my favourite shops in Dublin called Rhinestones.  They have an array of vintage jewelry and amazing costume jewelry. Every time I have a day off and I’m wandering the streets of Dublin I always find myself in there just looking at everything. Their displays are amazing and their staff are so helpful. Will need to pop in again soon, might even treat myself.
