Happy Easter weekend everyone- I am happy and excited as we finally booked our wedding venue and can start actually planning all the rest now! Will have updates in the coming weeks about our progress. Because of the cold weather we were feeling earlier on this week, I started thinking about long sleeved wedding dresses and we look at some below, but first I’ll quickly do our recap. Lindsay started the week with two must-read posts for destination brides on packing for a destination wedding and transporting your wedding dress. I for one have bookmarked all of these for my own wedding and have already printed off the destination wedding checklist she did up! Then we saw a really fun French destination wedding video by Best Day Productions, and had some more advice with a post on choosing a veil. Yesterday was one of my favorite of our real features so far, a destination wedding in Lucca by Studio Impressions that had such great atmosphere and light in the photos.

And the weddings we loved this week:

Californian eye candy

✈ Engagement with butterflies

Elegant North Carolina wedding

Stylish manor wedding

✈ Forrest wedding

Friday Fashion ✈ Long Sleeved Wedding Dresses

Inspired by the cold weather recently, and also by the Mae dress by Belle and Bunty that we saw last Sunday, I have put together a few long sleeved dresses. There’s nothing worse than being cold all day and while I know there are pretty options for bridal wraps and shawls, I think if I was doing a winter wedding, I would go for a dress that covers up. The 2013 collections of most designers include dresses with sleeves and below are two each of 5 bridal collections we love:

Long Sleeved Wedding DressesGuinevere and Viva Gowns by Temperley

Long Sleeved Wedding DressesBerta Gowns via Limn and Lovely

Long Sleeved Wedding DressesKayla and Royalty Gowns by Monique Lhuillier

Have a FAB long weekend! x

I am such a huge lover of long sleeves and modest gowns! Don’t get me wrong, I love a classic strapless like anyone else, but I love to see something different and mix it up! Plus I feel like there’s more posing and more artistry I can incorporate into my art when I have more to work with, and in this case, more of a gown, more choices. I love it! They are all gorgeous!
