Whoop, nearly the weekend and I’m excited! Off down the country tonight for a hen party and I get to see the boy! Living apart has been no fun but makes the weekends all the sweeter. I’ve been on the hunt for some handsome boy-wear and have collected 10 of our favorite groom bowties below. But first, this past week has had us singing along to Joan Armatrading, walking the streets of San Sebastian for wedding venues, experimenting with paper marbling and swooning over beautiful weddings in Greece. Not bad for a week at the office, eh?!
We also spent some quality time checking out other beautiful weddings and our FAB 5 are…
✈ Beautiful engagement on the Portuguese seaside cliffs – Complete with a gorgeous sunset
✈ A destination wedding in Ibiza – Stunning backless dress
✈ A colourful boho wedding in France – Hearts, Ducks and Daisies
✈ An intimate wedding in a small Tuscan Village – Nearly too pretty to be true
✈ Most beautiful venue in Hawaii – Stunning photography
Friday Fashion ✈ Boys in Bowties
Boys in bowties – really, how handsome! We love the idea of groom bowties. It’s been a while since we focused on the lads and their style but when we came across the image above by Austin Gros, we were more than inspired. A – we love the chords, B – love the cardigans and C – LOVE the bowties! So we went on a search for the fanciest bowties and have rounded up 10 of our favourites…
So, first up we have Hello in There, a small design brand based out of Scotland that hand craft these gentlemanly bow ties. They also make really great ties too if you don’t manage to get your man into the bow.
Etsy is always one of the first places we start looking when it comes to inspiration and it’s there we came across April Look. Their bow ties are all nicely priced below the 30 euro mark and they also sell matching ties and handkerchiefs.
I love these two dapper bow ties from Forage and they really have a great selection. Again, you can by matching ties if you want to mix up the look amongst the guys.
I love ASOS, you can always find what you are looking for there and I was impressed with their bow tie selection. Both bowties above also come in under the 30 euro mark.
Finally, if you would rather get out and about and perhaps get the Mr. to try on a few to see if it suits him, or if indeed he will wear one, well then head to Zara. Affordable and wearable, perfect we say.
So, what do you think? I love the look but it wouldn’t suit my other half but it’s great to get to look anyway! Have a great weekend and we will see you back tomorrow for another song to add to the ipod.
