The bridal gowns we’re looking at today simply ooze glamour and elegance. The charismatic Alan Hannah 2014 collection, entitled “Timeless Beauty,” is inspired by iconic fashion moments of the 20th century. These beautiful dresses have a certain magnetism, a star quality that perfectly encapsulates these enduring fashion periods. “Classic with a twist” is the order of the day with time-honoured silhouettes complemented by flawless accessories. These are gowns that will not date simply because they could be from any era. Lots of satin, guipure lace, sheer backs and arms with gorgeous embellishments, beadwork and jewelling. Have a look for yourself- here, in order, are five of my favourites from the collection: the Gwyneth, Colbert, Bacall, Moonlight and Cate gowns. I am in love with the embellished shoulders of the Colbert gown!

Time for more favourites now- the weddings we loved this week:

Soft Slovakian light

Blush bridesmaids

Love in New Orleans

Meadow tipi

Portugal + Jenny Packham= Pretty

Last but not least, our week’s recap: Monday we brought you tips and advice for healthy wedding day nails, then we travelled to Paris for an epic night-time ceremony. The combination of metallics and blush for wedding inspiration was on our mind Wednesday before we returned to Portugal yesterday for a colourful vineyard wedding where couple Tania and Romeu first met. Hope you enjoyed and have a FAB weekend!
