We have another trash the dress session today on Fly Away Bride and this time, we are in Bolivia – another first for us! Agustina and Johann met in Chicago. Both came from different sides of the world, he the East and she South. He’s the numbers guy, she’s the artist but they fell in love and married in November in Agustina’s home town, Salta, Argentina. Their photographer Maggie Rife folloed them to Bolivia for their desert trash the dress, and tells us about their adventure in the days following the wedding….

From Maggie Rife…

“A few days after Agusta and Johann’s wedding, we jumped in a pickup truck with our guides, gas tank loaded, and headed north. After two days of driving, we arrived in Uyuni, Bolivia. Llama farms dotted the countryside and locals sold hand woven fabrics along the road. After having a quick bite of local fare, we headed outside of town to the salt flats. This celestial terrain stretches for miles as far as the eye can see. The expanse of salt is remnants left over from what once was an ocean or sea. On the dry cracked land, dressed in their wedding attire, I snapped pictures of the newlyweds. It was a beautiful setting for a couple that radiates.”

Quite the striking backdrop don’t you think? Do you like the idea of a trash the dress session or would you rather keep your dress for years to come? We would love to hear your thoughts on this! Thanks again to Maggie Rife for these beautiful images and also to the newlyweds!
