The biggest challenge was having a wedding in a place you have never been. You have to rely solely on your wedding planner, pictures and excellent communication. Louise and Camilla made this so easy. I had seen several weddings Camilla had shot and loved her style and technique. Using Danish Island Weddings for our wedding planning was the best decision we made though. We could not have pulled off the details of our event without them.Marco and I really wanted a vintage rustic garden wedding. Everything was so beautifully done and had a natural beauty to it. Flowers from local private gardens and wildflowers from around the Island were used in my beautiful bouquet and as decor; we were married under an arch built of branches from a tree that was cut down in Camilla’s garden, and the venue, the Aeroe Badehotel, itself is a rustic historic and beautiful building, very Scandinavian. In the ceremony the officiant read her part in both Danish and English which was a nice touch. Also, after the ceremony Louise started our reception with an official Danish toast. The most memorable moment for us was something we did a little different for our reception. We had a lip sync battle as part of our party. Each guest had a song before coming and presented it at the reception. It was a BLAST, so much fun and happiness at the reception!”
