Lindsay, our resident wedding palette expert, has created something very pretty for us today. As the main stylist for House of Hannah, Lindsay mocks up wedding palettes for most brides so she does these all the time, but now and again she creates a special one to share with us here at Fly Away Bride! This cranberry and pink beauty is very close to the one we used for my own wedding so it’s definitely one of my favourites. If the name fools you into thinking this is quite a feminine palette, look a little closer: cranberry is actually quite close to a brick red and the crimson shade brings a heavy masculinity which balances the cream and light pink so well. Warm greys in addition to cream and ivories are great neutral tints with this palette, and as usual keep use of the heavy and bright colours- crimson and cranberry- to a minimum for best effect. If you’re using metallics, our preference would be to stick to silvers as opposed to gold with this colour scheme. Throw in lots of greenery in your florals and backdrops and violà, an amazing wedding palette: warm, bright and oh-so-beautiful.
