Couple Danielle and Richard tied the knot at a borgo in the middle of the Valdorcia region of Italy’s Tuscany. Two visits to the venue were enough to decide that everything there fitted their vision. Together with seventy guests, Danielle and Richard chose this typical borgo as their wedding venue for its secluded hilltop location, commanding a beautiful view of Valdorcia. From the first medieval building, guests walked down to the pool passing through the Italian garden, to the main square with its beautiful ancient oak and down by the church path to reach the pool with its arresting view of rolling hills and magnificent sky. When the wedding day arrived, menacing clouds hovered but Danielle and Richard remained light-hearted. The promised rain came during the ceremony, conducted by a friend of Danielle and Richard, so there were green umbrellas everywhere but this only added to the fun. When finally the sky cleared, it was time for an aperitif in the Italian garden. Danielle’s uncles delighted guests with their music while guests enjoyed tasty food and Prosecco served buffet-style. Guests sat around an E-shaped table with a garland of olive leaves and candles. With fairy lights wrapped around the big oak tree as well as strung across the square, the atmosphere was warm and beautifully intimate. Planned by Super Tuscan Wedding Planners and captured by Andrea Corsi, this really is a celebration not to be missed.
