Dove gray is a funny shade- it’s the only color that can be either warm or cool depending on whether it has elements of pink or blue. The Sareh Nouri dress below caught my eye last week and planted the seed for this inspiration board. I love the way the gown has hints of both warm and cool. It got me wondering, what would be a good combination color with dove gray? Enter coral with its warm vibrancy. Used skillfully it can create the perfect visual balance to the subtleness of dove gray: it’s a little more masculine than going with pink whereas red can be a little overwhelming with such a subtle shade. Bouquets can be kept simple with lots of greenery- the one below works so well with just coral peonies, and I love the blue-gray bouquet ribbon used. Agate beads would look so pretty in little bowls around the reception table, and metallic pearl jewelry either for you or your bridesmaids is a perfect accompaniment for this look. The overall feel is modern, clean and bright and a great palette for those trying to break away from any sort of rustic vibe. Just remember to go easy with the coral touches as less is definitely more with this shade, but you really can’t go wrong with dove gray so include as much as you like!

Oh, this board is perfection! I love that the dove gray is muted and the coral is saturated. What a beautiful combination of colors!

Beautifully done! I especially like how you added some mauve tones as a transition between the dove gray and coral. Wonderful combination!
