Intimate Italian chapel weddings don’t come much better than todays beautiful church wedding in Monteriggioni and with Four Nineteen Weddings at the helm, you can be sure that no detail was left untouched. With floor to ceiling walls painted in frescoes from the 1300’s, Adam and Crystal’s wedding celebration took place in what has to be one of Italy’s most stunning churches and with close family and friends in attendance, it really was picture perfect.

From Four Nineteen Weddings
“Adam heard about us because we had planned a coworkers wedding in Costa Rica. We had just returned from my own wedding in Italy and had decided to start expanding our wedding services offering to include new locations worldwide and Italy was just the perfect addition.

Adam and Crystal were set on having a wedding in Tuscany but they were looking for a location that was private, a good size to accommodate friends and family and the luxury of having the entire venue to themselves for a weekend. After reviewing a few options, they opted for La Costa, and it worked out just perfectly.

A recently renovated traditional villa structure located outside of the beautiful town of Monteriggioni, it remote enough in the countryside offer quiet and tranquility but pretty accessible not only from Monteriggioni, but from Siena also.

For them, food was also a priority, and while you can’t go wrong in Italy when it comes to food, the homemade food at La Costa was amazing (their in house cook even prepared the wedding feast, and it was truly wonderful).

In terms of decor, we wanted to take advantage of the surroundings and so we opted for a more classic, romantic style. For the ceremony, which was held at the beautiful chapel of San Lorenzo a Colle Ciupi, right near the venue, little decor was neede. The little chapel (so hidden that even the Priest had a hard time finding it) has wonderfully preserved frescoes from the 1300, which gave the entire ceremony a magical glow. Sofia added lovely floral detailing to the Church, but without a doubt, the wonderful little chapel needed little extra.

Crystal chose florals in shades of white and soft pastels that were perfectly designed by Sofia at Il Profumo dei Fiori. We originally wanted to use only gold accents, but after not being able to find gold accented glassware and flatware without being subject to a crazy increase in rental price, we decided to mix and match gold and silver hues on the table, and it worked out perfectly. We finished it up with simple and classic printed menus and place cards, to create just the right ambiance that the bride and groom were looking for.

The bride arrived at the ceremony in a vintage champagne Bentley, and the moment she walked into the church (to the sounds of Pachelbel’s Canon in D) was just magical. Later in the ceremony, the soprano sang the Ave Maria and there was not a dry eye in the house.

After the ceremony, guests arrived at La Costa for the aperitivo, in the upper terrace with a wonderful view of the countryside below. Before heading to dinner, Crystal and Adam had a surprise for their guests. To honor Adam’s late grandfather, they hired a bagpiper, which turned out to be one of the most emotional moments of the night.

Dinner was served in the covered gazebo by the ceremony and afterwards, guests enjoyed a variety of desserts and lots of dancing.”
