September is one of the most popular months to get married in. Yet autum wedding palettes can be harsh and overdone, so today we’re bringing you some autumnal wedding inspiration that’s slightly different. For the base of this palette think faded antique wood, a pearlescent ocean on a cloudy day, light taupe antique lace veils, and velvets that are blue and grey depending on the way they catch the light. Diamond and crystal is an ideal addition to this palette, with a flinty texture that balances the softness of the base palette and yet refracts light, so cut crystal glasses sit perfectly on this wedding table. Keep florals neutral with lots of greenery, as you want the focus of this palette to be the pops of chartreuse. Beautiful chartreuse is set to be a big part of the 2016 wedding palette. Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of Pantone Color Institute tells us that “colors this season transport us to a happier, sunnier place where we feel free to express a wittier version of our real selves.” (Ref) And why wait till 2016 to include chartreuse? We love it for an autumn palette- there is even a reminiscence of fallen leaves in its hue.
