Set in the wonderfully contrasting Irish landscape of the private Island of Inish Beg off the coast of Cork incorporating many of Ireland’s charming wedding traditions while also taking inspiration from Ireland’s famed literary history and not forgetting it’s iconic food and drinks culture.

My heart is racing as we have something so special to us to share today! This week, Fly Away Bride is embracing being Irish and celebrating St. Patrick’s Day for the next six days before we join in with the festivities on Saturday. Yes, all week we will be bringing you some amazing Irish Inspiration, from Irish Venues to Real Destination Weddings here but to start, we have something that we have been working hard on for the past number of weeks.

In February, Pamela and I struck gold once again and managed to get together another team of seriously talented Irish wedding suppliers to help bring our vision of re-creating a wedding solely based on Ancient Irish Wedding Traditions, to life. With Photographer Shane O’Neill from Aspect Photography by our side, we were set and the result is this. Fly Away Bride’s second styled shoot – A Mythical Tune.

Sail Away With Me ✈ Inspiration Shoot Part 3 The Film

We’re so excited today to bring you the third and final part of our Sail Away With Me inspiration shoot, the film! Rodolphe from Best Day Productions joined us on the shoot and created both a short behind the scenes film which we featured yesterday and a Sail Away Film capturing the beautiful details of the shoot in all their glory. Sit back relax and enjoy…

Best Day Productions are a family run company based in Kildare, what can we say their work speaks for itself, their cinematography is second to none. Make sure to check out their blog for their stunning Super8mm clips.

Thank you so much to all the FAB suppliers that made the shoot possible. We were thrilled to work with such talented people and had great fun on the shoot with you all.

We’re already brainstorming for our next shoot, something to look forward to…

Sail Away With Me ✈ Inspiration Shoot Part 2

Aga17

Good morning! Hope you all survived the first weekend of December organising the decorations and Christmas lists!! I’m so pleased that today we can bring you Part 2 of the amazing shoot Pamela and I had the pleasure of organising in Dublin. We were so lucky to work with some of the finest suppliers this great little country of ours has to offer. The second installment, captured by Brosnan Photographic and Aga from White Tea second shooting, is full of gorgeous details so get your life-jacket and lets set sail.

Pamela from Farrell and Chase (and Fly Away Bride of course) provided the charming stationary and signage. She felt that her suite “Love Letters” lent itself perfectly to the overall theme. Instead of a guest book, messages in bottles for the Bride and Groom were used, complete with vintage ink well and feather. Romantic? Yes, very.

The Cill Airne was the perfect location for our 1930s winter travel themed shoot. The boat is full of character and there were so many lovely spaces, we were spoiled for choice. Below is another stunning brooch bouquet from another great Irish supplier. If you missed Thursdays post you will also have missed a charming hand crafted brooch bouquet complete with pocket watch hand made by the very talented Carrie of Best of Buds. Carrie gave us a choice of two but they wer just so pretty, we had to use both. An incredible piece of art, the brooch bouquet is so destination friendly.. no wilted flowers and the perfect keepsake.
