How fast is this week flying? Today we have a movie by Deneemotion in the UK. We don’t get to feature movies often enough on FAB so when we see one come in, they are a real treat! April is an American gal who was perfectly happy to let her groom to be, Philip organise their wedding in his hometown of Pulloxholl while she was on assignment for the majority of the year. They chose to hold their ceremony in the 11th century St James Church in the village of Pulloxhill where Philip was born. Philip received an enormous amount of help from his brother who owns a successful marquee and events company and held the reception in one of his amazing marquees on the grounds of their parents 15th century public house. They had a jazz band on arrival, courtesey of the band that have played every Sunday at Philips parents pub for the past 40 years and champagne bought especially from a small house run by Anna Marie and Etienne Lefevre in Verzy where we have been going for many years. One of the highlights of their day was having their family’s classic car as it proved a really big hit (a petite mini moke) and left their guests talking all evening! Deneemotion were on hand to capture all these details on film and it really is very beautiful! Enjoy!

Jaime and Mark have a love for all things Scottish, both because of Mark’s Scottish heritage and the many books they have read and loved together over the years. Mark also wore a Grant tartan kilt when he proposed to Jaime so when it came to choosing a destination location for their wedding, bonnie Scotland was always in their hearts. This small intimate celebration captured by Casey Connell Photography was held in the historic Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness and embraced all things Scottish with Mark adding a sporran and knife to his attire, the couple walking to the music of the Scottish bag pipes and a hand fastening ceremony in the rain. Jaime’s dress is just so original and beautiful on her – this couple really did it their own way. Another beautiful touch was the drinking from a Quaich ceremony, an old Scottish tradition where a fine whiskey is enjoyed from a two handled, shallow bowl. For us, this is what destination weddings are about – merging your own heritage with local customs and traditions.

Good morning to you all! You might remember the beautiful snowy engagement session of Henry and Rachel that we featured only a few days after Christmas. If not, then you can take a look here. Rachel and Henry met when they were both studying in Cambridge and even though they are now living in sunny San Francisco, they knew that it was too important a place for them not to get married there. Henry is from the UK so they had lots of planning help from his family and her friends. Their venue South Farm in the English countryside, is nothing short of spectacular and we have the images to prove it, thanks once again to Ria Mishaal.
