Today we have the wonderfully relaxed beach side wedding of Chloe and Will in California complete with a trash the dress session at the end of the evening where the bride and groom take a dip in the ocean. Their FAB photographer Jennifer Weems tells us a bit more about their special day…
Chloe and Will were up for anything, including moving their wedding from Phoenix to sunny CA. She dreamed of a beach wedding, and she’d stop at nothing to do it. Much of the wedding details were DIY, her sister made all of the cupcakes. After the ceremony and reception dinner, we returned to the beach for a “trash the dress”!

Dylan flies helicopters for the US Navy and Sarah is in graduate school for International Peace Studies and they are one style savvy couple. They live in Norfolk Virgina but decided to have the wedding at a central California coastal town where both of their families vacationed when they were children. The bride’s crafty family added so many personal touches to this breezy beach wedding with Sarah’s mother, Jana, doing all of the the flowers for the wedding day and her 6 brothers and one sister, setting up the up for the beach ceremony.

From Sarah…
We went to Sierra high school together, in a small mountain town of central California, acknowledging through the few interactions we had, a special connection between us, a mutual admiration. Dylan joined the Navy, I moved to Orange County for college, our conversations became few and far in between. The next Christmas at a friends party, he pulled me aside and admitted his wish, to be able to one day marry a girl like me. An ironic foreshadowing to the years ahead. I left to study abroad in Cyprus, he left for the East Coast. Parting ways again to resort to sporadic facebook conversations. Upon returning home however, everything changed.
Dylan and I’s relationship became much more than the admiration filled friendship previously shared. Transitioning back home, and with him to Norfolk-Virginia, we found encouragement and support in each other. We began writing profusely, talking non-stop every chance we got and wondering what a deeper relationship would look like with the distance between us. Even though we had never been together, we decided to start a long distance relationship.
When he came home for Christmas, we went on our first date. Seeing each other and being together for the first time since all that had progressed between us. Needless to say we spent every possible waking moment together, Dylan met my family, quickly becoming apart of it and during those two short, precious weeks we started something beautiful.
I moved out to Norfolk VA last June for graduate school and to be with Dylan. I am getting my MS in Conflict Analysis and Resolution and Dylan is an aircrewman in the US Navy.

Today we have a destination wedding set in one of the most stunning natural locations there is in California. Yosemite National Park, a wilderness park of nearly 1200 square miles, is best known for its waterfalls, but also encompasses deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more. I had the pleasure of traveling through Yosemite on a road trip up the west coat of the US some years ago and was overwhelmed by the beauty and vastness of the park. So I was very excited when Patrick Pike Studios chose to share Nicole and Jason’s Yosemite wedding with us…
On the day of their wedding, Nicole and her family were tucked away in a cabin at the hotel. When we arrived at the Ahwahnee Carol from Bellissimo was already there working her magic on Nicole. With such a peaceful state about her, I could tell even at this early hour that Nicole was relaxed and soaking in every moment of her wedding day. Everything about the wedding was because of Nicole and Jason.

We love everything destination here at FAB and so it’s a absolute treat to feature todays real wedding. Chris and Christina didn’t cross the States or the Atlantic to celebrate their wedding. Instead, they brought everything they adored about Italy, Tuscany and the Mediterranean together and incorporated subtle destination details into their wedding held Malibu. A great idea if you are torn between a wedding at home or one abroad we think!

We have a wonderful California destination wedding to feature today full of amazingly thoughtful details. Sabrina and Jeff travelled from Boston to the Ralston White Retreat in Mill Valley in San Francisco North Bay with a host of wedding guests from across the US to celebrate their wedding weekend.
