You won’t be surprised that we have yet another talented vendor to introduce you to today. Belle and Bunty are one of our all-time favourite wedding dress designers and we were just completely over the moon that we got to work with them on our last shoot. Prepare yourself for some gorgeous dress images, and we’ll turn you over to founders Alice and Hannah:

Can you tell us a little about Belle and Bunty, what you offer and where you’re based?

Belle & Bunty is a London-based designer label created by Alice Shreeve (Belle) and Hannah Coniam-Thompson (Bunty) with Ready-to-Wear ranges and a Bridal collection. We met at The London College of Fashion where we were both studying Womenswear Design and Surface Textiles. We both got on and liked each other’s style of work and felt that they would work well combined together. Deliberation over our brand name lasted awhile and eventually chose Belle and Bunty from our childhood nicknames. We felt it sounded quintessentially British, it’s memorable and also gives a nod towards our brand style, which is feminine, chic, and tongue in cheek.

Can you arrange a private appointment for bridal parties to visit you and try your dresses?

Yes, appointments in our friendly London boutique are informal and relaxed. Prices range from £1200 to £1800, aiming to be aspirational but affordable. To make an appointment, contact shop@belleandbunty.co.uk.

Do you also dress the bridal party, bridesmaids, mother of the bride etc?

Yes, we are working on a bridesmaid’s collection that is soon to be released!  Currently, we offer non-bridal colours in all styles for our more adventurous clients and we have our ready-to-wear range, which is perfect for special guests that want to pair with the bridal party.

When should brides start looking and shopping for their Belle and Bunty wedding dress?

While the longer the time in advance is our best advice to ensure a stress-free process, the standard lead time ranges between 4-6 months. All of our Belle & Bunty dresses are ‘Made in England’, so styles can be made quicker if needed.

Do you have advice for brides using your dresses for a destination wedding?

Our dresses are perfect for brides tying the knot abroad! Many of our brides have chosen our dresses for their destination wedding because we use 100% silk. Lightweight, unstructured, wrinkle-free, our dresses are great for travel. Our styles look stunning in a more relaxed setting with sand, sandals and a suntan.

Can you tell us a bit more about the people behind the business?

Alice: There is a lot that goes into a fashion label other than pure design work. All the day-to-day running of a business takes up a lot of time. Out of the studio I’m kept equally busy by my two little girls, Mae & Darcey.
Hannah: You never really switch off when you have your own business and designing is only a small part of what we do at work. Outside of work, I like to unwind at the gym, try new restaurants with my husband and am a tad addicted to Instagram!

Do you have any exciting plans or news that you’d like to tell us about?

Recently, we were named Bridal Designers of the Year by The Tailored Bridal Awards. We are incredibly thankful for the honor and cannot thank The Tailored Awards enough for choosing us as their winner! Currently, we are working on a bridesmaid collection, soon to be released!
