We were so inspired by Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week that today we have dedicated a destination wedding palette especially to this wonderful city. Barcelona is a fusion of medieval and modern styles, and it’s city that does destination weddings incredibly well. You’ll find beauty at every corner, whether in the amazing architecture, the exceptional cuisine, or the vibrant atmosphere. The striking Pronovias dress below is straight off the runway from Bridal Fashion Week and was the starting point for this inspiration board: we love the gown’s structure which ties in so well with the architecture of Barcelona. The muted turquoise and matt coral hues complement each other perfectly; either or both would make beautiful bridesmaid gowns. When choosing two balancing hues like this for your palette, go for two rather muted shades (best to keep away from vibrant opposing colours) and choose neutrals that are close versions of each, then leave the colours at that. Antique pewter and tarnished gold work well with this colour scheme, as do bare wooden tables. Keep florals neutral, with a hint of one of your complementary shades. For more on the gorgeous city of Barcelona, check out Barcelona resident and brilliant photographer Gabby from En Route Photography’s Guide to Barcelona, with tips on must-see sights, restaurants and hotels to check out. And in case you missed the start of our destination-inspired wedding palettes, check out our Montenegro and Iceland colour boards: you won’t be disappointed! Thanks once again to House of Hannah for today’s beautiful palette.
