Daniela and Conny returned to the place where they met as children to marry in the garden of Castle Laxenburg in Austria. They planned the wedding from their home in Sweden, and we love their beautiful lakeside ceremony on the lawns of the castle. Pops of blue and turquoise in their colour scheme were a perfect complement to the natural setting, and the day was captured so well by the team at Dream Pictures.

HOW THEY MET

“We met at a scout camp, which took place right in front of Castle Laxenburg, so it’s not hard to guess why we chose this place as our wedding location. Conny proposed to me when we were on holiday in Iceland- he asked me if I wanted to marry him during a beautiful sunset beside the sea.

DECIDING ON THE DESTINATION

We got married in the garden of Castle Laxenburg as it was here that we saw each other for the first time. The celebration afterwards took place in the castle because we had our first date at a ball there.  It was a challenge planning the wedding in Austria from our home in Sweden. It wasn’t easy to organise everything, but luckily we had great support from our families and friends which we are so thankful for. We also used a wedding panner to help us with all the organisation.

THE BIG DAY

We didn’t have a theme exactly, but it was important for us that we get married surrounded by nature. The castle’s garden was the perfect place for our ceremony, and thankfully we were really lucky with the weather! So many lovely, happy and funny things happened on the day itself and we’re grateful for every single moment. It was the most amazing day of our lives but also probably the one that went the quickest!”
