A beautiful sunny Tuscan evening. A Jenny Packham dress. Recipe for the perfect wedding? We think so! Sarah and Chris got married in Florence with their photographer Cinzia Bruschini on hand to capture the relaxed atmosphere with some great shots. The couple chose to have a destination wedding in Florence to avoid having to conform to traditional wedding expectations, and Italy seemed the perfect choice as it both modern but still laid back and friendly. They fell in love with Il Salviatino as a venue because.. well, you’ll see why!

The couple wanted a non-traditional wedding, so one of the only customs they stuck to was not having Chris see Sarah in her dress until her arrival at the ceremony. They were glad they decided to use a wedding planner and would advise couples planning from abroad to do the same, especially when there is a different language involved- they were delighted with their planner Elena.

For the short drive to the reception from the town hall the couple hired a classic Cinque Cento. A memory that stands out for both Sarah and Chris is driving up to the reception beeping the car horn (an Italian custom at weddings) as their guests stood waiting for them at Il Salviatino. Their advice to other couples planning a wedding would be to enjoy every minute, not to stress about guests enjoying themselves, and to take a few minutes together alone away from everyone to savor your first moments as a couple.

We wish Sarah and Chris all the best and thanks to them and to Cinzia Bruschini for sharing these beautiful photos with us. Hope they brightened your day a bit, I know they did ours!

Breathtaking! I love the bride’s dress….
I know. Totally helps that she is a stunner too!
Beautiful pictures! I love the bride’s dress. Her and her husband make an adorable couple. My husband and I are really excited about our 10 year anniversary. We decided to go back to Tuscany where we got engaged. We have the cutest little Tuscan villa rentals lined up for the family. It is going to be great.
Good luck with your anniversary Brielle, you’re right- it will be great in beautiful Tuscany. Congrats on 10 years together! x
