This modern interpretation of a romantic Paris elopement was captured along the Seine on a boathouse right next to the Louvre. We love the delicate and natural tones of this inspirational wedding session, as well as the spectacular florals and bride’s beautifully elegant yet simple gown. Check out more from photographer Marine Blanchard below on the ideas behind the shoot as well as its creation.

“Paris is a big, modern city, but it is also a dreamy and romantic place where anything can happen. It’s the perfect place for a stylish wedding shoot! I wanted to play with the classic evocation of the “city of love” and to add a personal touch with an original setting, natural colours inspired by the sea and nature and the idea of traveling; which is important to me because I have spent a significant part of my life living abroad. I created this shoot as a modern and natural interpretation of a romantic Paris elopement. The whole team enjoyed the idea and the spirit of the shoot and created a delicate, chic and spontaneous atmosphere. As such, what better place than a typical boathouse on the Seine river (next to the Lovers’ Bridge) to bring together the concept of nature, traveling and a romantic cocoon. Elodie from Venice Pines designed a complete tablescape with fabrics of different styles, natural colors, light ribbons and various glasses to bring a French elegance on the table. Elodie combined natural and mineral textures with light tones, vintage and modern dinnerware with a gold flatware which added a warm and chic atmosphere to the package. Drissia– Artiste Florale created a lovely bouquet of roses: David Austin, Sweet Juliet, Poppy Roses, Anigozanthos and Spirea with an amazing floral installation to complete the table space with Roses Branchue Bombastick, Poppy roses and Spirea. Elodie and Drissia did a great job by adding a touch of elegance in the rose buttonhole. Sarah, from Mister M Studio imagined the stationery in a nautical blue and white with watercolour tones mimicking the sea and involving our “travelling spirit” theme. Mathilde from Mathilde Marie lent a two-piece wedding dress from her last collection: the silk skirt was quite light giving an impression of sweetness and elegance. The stripes of the skirt bring up the idea of a little sailor; a perfect fit with the groom’s blue suit. Finally, the nimble fingers of Amandine from Atelier Coquette made sure the bride was at her most beautiful beside her lover. The couple was perfect for the shoot: they were in love and represented perfectly a romantic and modern Parisian couple; and that is exactly the mood and atmosphere I wanted to create. ”
