The first of today’s posts today really is a first for us, a fab wedding in Germany! We were very excited to receive this 1970s inspired wedding from Dussledorf as we have never had an opportunity to feature a wedding from this country before and we are not one bit disappointed! Lots of amazing details such as the bride Nina’s bouquet, the grooms über cool glasses (see what I did there, eh?!) and stationary designed by Martin. It took them two years to plan this beautifully retro wedding and determined to stick to their plan of doin’ it their own way – they served the most nontraditional wedding cake I’ve ever heard of – savory minced pork. Yes, you read right. Time for photos and we are in love with these black and whites…

Nina and Martin certainly wouldn’t call themselves a traditional couple by any means and it was infact Nina who proposed to Martin! You go girl! They knew from the beginning that they wanted a big wedding with all of their friends and family present but they wanted to get away from the city and instead chose Cafe del Sol, close to the Rhine on a nature reserve.

How amazing is that bouquet! Both Nina and Martin are big fans of the 1970’s and wanted their main priority was for their wedding to be fun. They collected lots of bits and pieces from flea markets and it really adds to the vintage / retro feel.

Martin, the groom designed all the retro stationary + graphics and we think it’s just so much fun!

The meat mince pie cake…. I know my brothers would absolutely love this one! They eat so much food and this is man food for sure!

How much fun was that! I adore Nina and Martin’s style, you can just tell that they put their entire personalities into their wedding day and the pictures say it all. Thanks so much to Britta Schunck for the FAB photography and to Nina and Martin for sharing their wedding day. We can’t wait for our next German feature! We are back later on today with Flowers from Amsterdam – what pretty flower will it be today?
